Vintage Handwoven Sumatran Dark Purple Ulos Textile.
Bataks are ethnic groups predominantly found in North Sumatra Indonesia.
Ulos is the traditional cloth of the Bataks.
This piece is called Ulos Ragi Hotang, worn by men, slung on shoulder as a scarf. It was also given to a groom by his future in laws on his wedding day to their daughter.
